Your Favorite Films Sweded

After the release of Micheal Gondry's latest flick, "Be Kind Rewind" last month, the number of "sweded" films has exploded! "Sweding" is the low-brow process of remaking your favorite movies ala the personal video camera, no budget, and a few friends. The results, especially from the UK, are incredibly entertaining to watch. My personal favorites are posted below. They contain the best balance of self ridicule and good-honest-resourcefulness.

The Age of the Understatement

Bollocks. Simply Bollocks. The new collaboration between Alex Tuner (of the Artic Monkeys) and Miles Kane has an album due April 2008. The first single and video from the duo known as The Last Shadow Puppets is The Age of the Understatement. Visually the video works well with the heavy Russian tone of the song. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

El Porto

This past weekend I relocated to El Porto aka North Manhattan Beach. It has been an adventure already. My commute went from 3 miles round trip to 25+ miles. Which on a fixed gear bicycle takes me a little less then an hour each way.

The exercise is great but the surf @ El Porto is even better.

Paris Video and Music

Got some more images from my trip to Paris from David, including this gem. Its always cool to see "action" shots when you are doing something you enjoy. In this case, snapping some photos at the Citroen store on Champs-Élysées.
